Chicken drumsticks are perfect for the BBQ – juicy, tender and full of flavor. With a homemade BBQ sauce they become irresistible!

Preparation

Step 1: Prepare

Rub the drumsticks with oil and spices. Let marinate for 30 minutes. Mix all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and heat until sugar dissolves.

Step 2: Prepare the BBQ

Preheat the BBQ indirectly to 180-200°C. Place the drumsticks on the indirect section.

Step 3: Cook

Cook 25-30 minutes until core temperature is 75°C. Brush regularly with BBQ sauce.

Step 4: Finish

Brush with sauce and grill 5 minutes direct for a caramelizing crust. Serve warm.

Tips

  • Drumsticks are more tender than chicken breast due to higher fat content.
  • Measure core temperature for guaranteed doneness.
